Our Software Developers are responsible for the development and maintenance of business-critical software products at Abacus Medicine, they drive the shift to a scalable, cloud-native infrastructure. They work in close collaboration with fellow developers, IT professionals, product owners, and key stakeholders across Denmark and Hungary to enhance our digital solutions.
The opportunity
The Motrix team, with over 30 full-stack engineers in Budapest and Copenhagen, develops and maintains Motrix — a suite of business applications supporting operational and analytical processes in the parallel import medicine industry. As a core system used across nearly every department at Abacus Medicine, it plays a vital role in business operations and strategic decision-making.
We would like you to:
Develop and implement new features that support business operations and growth;
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine and clarify requirements;
Manage and resolve incoming bug reports and change requests efficiently;
Participate actively in plannings, meetings, and agile development processes;
Work closely with Danish colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
What we need you to have:
5+ years of work experience as a software developer;
Fluency in English and Hungarian;
Basic understanding, eagerness to work with and expand knowledge of the following technology stack (prior experience is a plus);
Strong expertise in at least one of the following technologies (strong frontend skills and/or experience with more than one area are a significant advantage).
Frontend Development:
Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript;
Experience with a frontend framework (preferably React);
HTML/CSS skills and experience with site builds;
Understanding of user experience (UX) design.
Backend Development (preferably .NET/C# / MS-SQL):
Experience with web frameworks and patterns like ASP. NET / MVC / Razor / WebApi;
Familiarity with Entity Framework;
Knowledge of unit and integration testing;
SQL programming skills with query writing and optimization.
DevOps, Cloud and Version Control:
Knowledge of CI/CD processes, including automated testing, deployment, and release management (preferably Azure DevOps);
Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms;
Proficiency in Git for version control.
