Job Title

Senior ServiceNow Developer

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role requires deep expertise across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, integrations, SecOps, GRC, and SPM, along with the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with platform architecture, scripting, custom application development, and end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SecOps, GRC, and SPM. Build and customize modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB. Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, scripted APIs, and import sets. Create and maintain CMDB data models, CI relationships, reconciliation rules, data certification, and governance controls. Configure and support ITOM capabilities such as Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, and operational intelligence. Implement SecOps and GRC solutions, including vulnerability response, security workflows, risk processes, controls, and compliance workflows. Work on SPM capabilities such as demand, project, portfolio, resource, and strategic planning workflows. Write clean and efficient scripts using Business Rules, Script Includes, Glide APIs, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and other platform tools. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver defect fixes and enhancements. Collaborate with architects, analysts, testers, and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions. Support releases, UAT, deployment activities, documentation, and post-go-live hypercare. Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, security standards, and performance guidelines.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer with expertise in customizations and platform development. Deep knowledge of ITSM processes and ServiceNow core modules. Strong experience in ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server. Good understanding of ITOM, including Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, and Event Management. Strong CMDB knowledge, including CI lifecycle, relationships, governance, and data quality. Working knowledge of SecOps modules such as Vulnerability Response and Security Operations workflows. Working knowledge of GRC processes, including risk, compliance, controls, and audit support. Exposure to SPM modules such as demand, project, portfolio, and resource management. Strong scripting skills in JavaScript and ServiceNow server-side/client-side development. Experience with Flow Designer, Workflow, catalog development, and automation. Strong understanding of ITIL and enterprise service management concepts. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM, CIS-CSM, CIS-RC, or other relevant certifications. Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methods. Exposure to DevOps, source control, ATF, and release management. Experience in enterprise environments with cross-functional teams and large-scale implementations. Knowledge of performance tuning, security hardening, and platform governance.

Experience

5 to 8+ years of overall ServiceNow development experience. At least 3+ years of strong hands-on experience in enterprise ServiceNow implementations. Proven experience delivering solutions across multiple modules and integrations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Good-to-Have

Experience with CMDB data certification and health management. Exposure to ServiceNow architecture and instance governance. Familiarity with API troubleshooting, incident-driven support, and operational excellence. Experience in large transformation programs involving multiple ServiceNow modules.

The Senior ServiceNow Developer will play a critical role in delivering high-quality platform solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen governance, and enable scalable enterprise service management.
