The Division:

SDM Housing Software is a UK-based company that develops social housing management software used by housing associations and similarorganizationsin the UK, Ireland, and Australia. Their software provides tools for housing operations including rent management, tenant administration, finance modules, repairs tracking, and other housing-sector needs.

ThePosition:

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in NET Coreand modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and React The role involves building, enhancing, and supporting scalable web applications with a strong focus on performance, security, and user experience.

The ideal candidate is passionate about clean code, modern development practices, and creating user-friendly applications. Experience with Microsoft Azureis a plus, or a strong willingness to learn and work with cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET Core and modern front-end frameworks.

• Develop and integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring seamless performance and responsiveness.

• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and overall efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.

• Design, implement, and manage data storage solutions using MS SQL Server, including data migration and scripting.

• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices and design principles.

• Implement automated testing to ensure application stability and reliability.

• Use version control tools such as Git to support collaborative and efficient development.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior team members where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.

• Solid experience with JavaScript, Angular, and/orReact

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding and practical application of SOLID principles.

• Proven experience delivering and supporting key software projects end-to-end.

• Experience with MS SQL Server, including query optimization and database design.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, or a strong willingness to learn cloud-based development.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Experience with performance tuning and application monitoring tools.
