We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to support IoT camera customer projects within Qualcomm's Embedded and IoT platform solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating and testing IoT camera systems on SoC-based Embedded Linux platforms, ensuring successful customer bring-up and smooth product delivery.
Responsibilities
Test Planning and Execution
Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate functionality, performance, stability, and compatibility of IoT camera solutions.
System Validation
Validate camera system features on Embedded Linux platforms, including image sensors, Image Signal Processor (ISP), encoder, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), AI features, peripheral drivers (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G/LTE), and related hardware/software integrations.
Test Automation and Quality Improvement
Develop and maintain test processes, automation tools, and test reports to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Customer Validation Support
Reproduce and analyze customer-reported issues, support debugging activities, and help ensure project milestones and delivery schedules are achieved.
Issue Triage and Root Cause Analysis
Drive issue triage and root cause analysis by analyzing system logs, kernel logs, camera pipeline behavior, and customer-reported failures, and work closely with development teams to support issue closure.
Test Reporting and Quality Management
Generate test reports, issue analysis reports, and quality metrics tracking documents to provide visibility into product quality status and risk assessments.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, system validation, or quality assurance; 6+ years preferred.
Familiarity with Linux and Embedded Linux environments.
Experience testing Camera Systems, Image Sensors, or Multimedia applications.
Ability to read and analyze system logs, kernel logs, and driver logs.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with IoT Camera, IP Camera, or Edge AI Camera validation processes.
Experience with Software Development Kit (SDK) validation, system validation, or Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT).
Experience developing test automation using Python or Shell scripting.
Familiarity with IQ, AQ, encoder, EIS, and AI feature testing.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
