Job Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Children with Disabilities Service team, based in Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join a specialist Children with Disabilities team, supporting children and young people with complex needs and helping to deliver positive outcomes for them and their families.

In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of children and young people with disabilities, undertaking assessments, developing tailored care and support plans, and ensuring that safeguarding responsibilities are met. You will work closely with families, carers, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies to provide coordinated and effective support, promoting independence, wellbeing, and long-term positive outcomes for children and young people.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage a complex caseload of children and young people with disabilities.
  • Undertake assessments, reviews, and care planning in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Complete Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children processes where appropriate.
  • Work directly with children, families, and carers to identify needs and deliver effective interventions.
  • Develop and review support plans to ensure children receive the appropriate services and resources.
  • Work closely with health, education, and other partner agencies to coordinate support.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings, assessments, and reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory responsibilities.
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
