Our mission is to bring the power of the microbiome to a million patients by 2030 and how Microba shows up across social and owned channels is a big part of how we get there. We’re looking for an incredible Senior Social Media and Campaign Marketing Manager to own our social presence, and our campaigns across owned channels, end to end across both the UK and Australian markets. You’ll work closely with Growth Marketing, Events & Community, Sales and the Head of Marketing to turn complex science into campaigns that build community, earn trust and drive action. You’re not only a strong copywriter but a skilled creator, able to get creative to 90–100% yourself in Figma and AI production tools, comfortable to rely on minimal design support. If you know how to make a challenger health brand impossible to ignore, you can hold a science-and-regulatory line without losing the voice, and you’d rather ship and learn than wait for perfect, we’d love to hear from you. Australia-based – remote, with the option to work hybrid from our Brisbane head office – supporting our UK and AU markets.
We exist to advance society by harnessing the microbiome’s profound health potential. Microba is a clinical-grade microbiome testing company, working with practitioners through a portal that turns complex data into smart, actionable insights. Our tests serve more than 40% of people worldwide living with ongoing functional gut disorders – grounded in the latest science and rigorous evidence, delivering full microbiome mapping, pathogen and gut-physiology screening, and AI-powered treatment guidance.
We have bold ambitions over the next 18 months, across both Australia and the UK, and we’re building fast to get there. We’ve already embedded AI deeply across the business; now we’re going further, backing resourceful people to combine the best AI tools and agents with human expertise, and lift the quality of everything we do. This is the beginning of an exciting era for our team, with newly defined roles and scope – and this is one of them.
You’ll own Microba’s social channels and practitioner- and patient-facing campaign communications – the strategy, the voice, and the performance. Today that’s Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, email and campaign pages on the website, but part of the job is knowing where our audiences are heading next and making sure we’re already there.
Our core audience is Integrated Functional Medicine (IFM) practitioners in the UK and Australia who refer our tests to their patients– but Microba’s customer is the patient. We ensure they have access to their reports and we keep them front of mind when we design our products and channels. Your content has to speak to both, holding the balance between clinical credibility and human clarity, always aligned to the GTM strategy and the brand playbook.
Social and owned channels. Own our social and practitioner-database communications across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Intercom email and campaign pages on the website. You’ll own and evolve the social playbooks, growing reach and engagement across practitioner and consumer audiences, and assess where new channels earn their place.
Campaigns, end to end. Aligned to the unified marketing calendar, you’ll own the campaign content plan and deliver campaigns end to end across owned channels – concept, copy, creative, publishing and results – with platform, team and AI-tool support.
Copy and creative production. You write well-crafted, on-brand copy, and you’re confident building assets yourself in Figma with our preferred AI production tools. With training up front from our Head of Design, you’ll take creative to 85–100% with minimal design support.
Nurture and lifecycle content. Working with Growth, you’ll shape nurture communications and supply product and campaign messaging into the lifecycle programme. You own the campaign and lifecycle messaging; evergreen and long-form nurture content sits with the Content Marketing Specialist (Evergreen Resources); Growth owns the automation.
Product update communications. You’ll own product update communications across owned channels: email and product notices (intercom),website (webflow), and socials, dovetailing with the evergreen product resources owned by the Content Marketing Specialist (Evergreen Resources).
Reactive PR and earned media. Sharing responsibility with the Head of Marketing (Global), you’ll move quickly on reactive PR, podcast and earned-media opportunities to grow our presence in designated regions, and on influencer moments – in collaboration with Events & Community.
Influencers and content creators. Where regulation allows, you’ll monitor the market and build relationships with content creators and influencers, and work with Growth on paid content.
Science and regulatory tone. You keep every piece scientifically and regulatorily sound – drafting to ~95% with the science playbook, then working with Science, in-house Practitioner and Regulatory functions for sign-off. You’re a content owner and contributor, not the regulatory approver.
We’re a team of scientists, clinicians, engineers and operators united by a genuine belief that the microbiome will transform human health. We’re at a pivotal moment, and this is one of the roles that makes our science impossible to ignore. We hire people who align to our beliefs:
