Senior Social Editor – fixed term contract
Location: The i Paper Headquarters – London, Kensington
Job Introduction
The i Paper is looking for a Senior Social Editor with extensive experience bringing digital journalism to audiences on social media. As one of the newsroom’s audience specialists, this person has a thorough understanding of social platforms, and applies that knowledge to distribute The i Paper’s journalism, repurposing it into engaging content for each platform, in a swift, impactful and above all accurate manner.
You will be a data-savvy decision maker, using on- and off-platform analytics to drive both everyday priorities and long-term strategy. In addition to sharing The i Paper's journalism on social platforms, you’ll also work with reporters and editors across the newsroom on how to build our off-platform community and widen the reach of our brand.
This role also works closely with other members of the Audience Team to support the newsroom's wider digital publishing strategy.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract and will report to the Head of Social.
