  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential scheduling, constructability, quality, or coordination issues.

  • Work closely with consultants and the project team to resolve RFIs, drawing discrepancies, deficiencies, and site-related challenges.

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, site records, progress documentation, and construction logs.

  • Enforce all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, quality, and professionalism across the site.

  • Manage inspections, testing, deficiencies, commissioning, occupancy requirements, and project closeout activities.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with the client, consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and project stakeholders.

  • Mentor and provide direction to Assistant Superintendents, Site Coordinators, and other site personnel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive construction experience, including several years in a Site Superintendent or Senior Superintendent capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large ground-up commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, or similarly complex construction projects.

  • Proven ability to manage projects valued at approximately $30 million to $100 million or greater

  • Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and building-envelope systems.

  • Experience managing projects from excavation and foundations through structure, building envelope, interior completion, commissioning, and turnover.

  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, critical-path activities, trade sequencing, and site logistics.

  • Thorough knowledge of Ontario construction practices, building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

This individual will bring strong site leadership, professional communication skills, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to represent the organization confidently with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of maintaining control of a demanding construction site from start to finish.
