Information about the position

We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to help evolve and scale a Database infrastructure that consists of more than ~2000 fat servers in 4 data centers and multiple regions. As part of the Production Engineering team, you’ll work with us on a Database infrastructure and related tooling. Here are some of the technologies we use: Rocky Linux, Chef, Kubernetes, Vitess, MySQL, Temporal, ArgoCD, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Thanos, Jaeger, Nginx, Ceph, Mcrouter, Memcached, Redis, Kafka, JVM, Go, Consul, Docker, Istio.

In this position, you'll:

• Define, lead, and execute improvements and changes to our database infrastructure to effectively manage growth, technology evolution, and scaling requirements.
• Actively participate in team decision-making and shaping the roadmap for database infrastructure years ahead.
• Build and improve tooling around our Database infrastructure and automate operations with Temporal workflows.
• Lead and manage database initiatives that span across different domains within the company.
• Proactively identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement and develop and implement the necessary solutions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation within the team every ~9th week.

About you

• At least 2 years of programming experience preferably in Go.
• A curious and responsible individual who wants to learn and master concepts and technologies we use.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes and deep knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Strong advocate for automation.
• You communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

The salary range for this position is € 5,100 - € 9,150 gross per month.
