Senior Site Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Site Engineer to join a leading infrastructure organisation who are going through considerable growth in Ireland.

The role will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various on-site activities during construction projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead on-site activities, and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained.

The Role:

• Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders, including regular progress updates and addressing any concerns.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure work meets quality standards and follows best practices.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Assist in the selection of materials, equipment, and tools required for the project.
• Keep detailed records of site activities, materials used, and progress reports.
• Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and junior team members.

The Person:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years proven experience in site engineering within the utilities sector.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documents.
• Strong understanding of utility construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
