For a Major IOC, we are looking for a Senior Shutdown Planner to lead the planning and optimization of critical turnaround and shutdown activities.
Role Objective
To deliver integrated, reliable and optimized shutdown planning ensuring:
Key Responsibilities:
HSE & Risk Management
Integrate HSE requirements into all planning activities
Contribute to risk assessments (HAZID, SIMOPS, etc.)
Anticipate and mitigate risks related to co-activities and operational constraints
Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas standards and company procedures
Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory)
Build structured schedules (WBS, logic, constraints, dependencies)
Identify and manage the Critical Path
Ensure overall schedule integrity across multiple disciplines
Advanced Planning & Optimization
Analyze and optimize POB (Peak of Workforce) to ensure balanced resource allocation
Identify and resolve schedule clashes (SIMOPS conflicts, technical interferences, access constraints)
Perform what-if scenario analysis and resource leveling
Optimize execution sequences to reduce downtime and operational risks
Coordination & Interfaces
Interface with key stakeholders such as Maintenance, Operations, HSE, Engineering, Contractors
Participate in and lead pre-shutdown planning and review meetings
Ensure alignment across all disciplines and stakeholders
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial environments
• Proven experience in shutdown / turnaround planning
• Strong background in Oil & Gas or heavy industry
• Experience in complex, multi-disciplinary project environments
• Strong leadership and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to perform under pressure in critical environments
