Job Description

Welcome to Orsted Business Services APAC
You’ll be part of the Contract Settlements team in KL where you, together with your colleagues, will oversee and orchestrate financial settlement processes across our fast developing business areas. Our department spans APAC, Europe and US, covering biofueled power plants, biomethane and natural gas contracts, as well as offshore wind farm settlements. As a team, we we foster a culture of continuous learning, open feedback, and mutual respect—empowering each team member to grow and contribute to our shared success.

You’ll play an important role in:

    • ensuring timely deliverables with agreed quality by keeping oversight of settlement tasks and coordinating workloads
    • overseeing end‑to‑end settlement processes, securing accurate calculations, accruals, reconciliations, postings, and controls
    • managing and improving documentation, creating and updating SOPs and descriptions to ensure compliance and consistency
    • monitoring performance through KPIs, identifying risks early, and escalating when needed
    • driving continuous improvements by collaborating with Process Owners and IT on solution design, UAT, and process optimisation
    • facilitating efficient and compliant processes, supporting colleagues in daily operations, and aligning intake and handover of new contract events.

To succeed in the role, you:

    • have a degree in economics, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
    • speak and write English fluently
    • are self‑driven and able to structure complex processes independently
    • thrive in an international environment and collaborate effectively across locations
    • feel confident coordinating others, assigning tasks, and securing timely delivery
    • enjoy improving processes and developing scalable, structured ways of working.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

About Ørsted

Ørsted is the global leader in offshore wind power and is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world.

Within a decade, we transformed from being one of Europe’s most fossil fuel-intensive utilities to being ranked as one of the most sustainable energy companies in the world. Today, we’re guided by a clear vision: to create a world that runs entirely on green energy.

We provide countries, companies, and communities with sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive energy solutions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen, and energy storage. We built the world’s first offshore wind farm back in 1991, and with over 2,000 turbines at sea, we’ve installed more offshore wind capacity than anyone else. In total, we own or operate over 17 GW of renewable energy capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We know that to build renewable energy at pace and scale, we must build it right. We commit to developing and operating our assets in harmony with nature and in line with the need for science-based climate action. We prioritise integrity and safety in our operations, and we respect the human rights and diverse values of every employee and stakeholder.

As a global renewable energy leader, we leverage the curiosity and passion of our people to innovate and take new or existing technologies to scale, collaborating with governments, suppliers, and our industry partners to make green energy solutions a reality.
