Job Description

Amazon Global Selling is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Seller Consultant to join the Japan Targeted Recruitment (TR) team based in Shenzhen. The TR team takes a proactive, research-driven approach to identify, engage, and onboard high-quality Chinese sellers with strong product-market fit for the Japanese marketplace — one of Amazon's fastest-growing cross-border destinations.

As a Senior Seller Consultant, you will independently own a portfolio of high-value seller relationships and drive measurable business outcomes across the full seller lifecycle — from strategic prospecting and consultative engagement to launch execution and post-launch growth acceleration. You will be expected to develop deep expertise in JP market dynamics, leverage data and industry intelligence to build differentiated recruitment strategies, and influence cross-functional teams to remove systemic barriers for seller success.

This role requires strong business judgment, the ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations, and a track record of delivering results through others. You will serve as a subject matter expert on JP seller recruitment within the team, contribute to playbook development, and help raise the bar on recruitment quality and seller productivity.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop deep category expertise through industry research (supply chain, manufacturing clusters, pricing, seasonal trends), and execute category-level recruitment strategies based on JP marketplace gaps and demand signals
- Proactively build a high-quality seller pipeline through industry cluster mapping, trade shows, factory visits, and cross-marketplace analysis; develop segment-specific pitch content for different seller types
- Own end-to-end seller onboarding experience and drive seller success
- Provide data-driven post-launch consulting to drive seller tiering-up, deliver customized selection guidance, and drive cross-launch from NA/EU into JP
- Identify gaps and build new initiatives from 0 to 1 (e.g., cluster engagement program); own cross-functional project management with clear milestones, stakeholder coordination, and scalable SOPs
- Partner with cross teams on GTM plans and seller logistics optimization; represent Amazon at industry events

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks
- Experience in sales

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
- Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Experience in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from data to inform decision-making processes
