As a Security Test Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in Rockwell Automation products across the full product lifecycle. You will work in a multi-location team, collaborating closely with engineering and security teams to enhance product security and testing capabilities. You will report to the Security Test Manager and work in a hybrid model based in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, documenting findings and providing mitigation recommendations
  • Design, implement, and maintain security testing tools, frameworks, and automation solutions
  • Contribute to product design and architecture reviews with a focus on security requirements
  • Develop and standardize penetration testing procedures across teams and projects
  • Monitor the evolving threat landscape and assess the impact of emerging vulnerabilities on products

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in Security Test Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in security testing, penetration testing, or related areas
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability analysis and penetration testing methodologies, particularly for web applications, WebSockets, and APIs
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python
  • Hands-on experience with network protocol and file fuzzing techniques
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience assessing container and Kubernetes security
  • Experience exploiting cloud misconfigurations and performing privilege escalation

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with industrial control systems or Rockwell Automation products
  • Experience in web and network penetration testing
  • Knowledge of software or hardware reverse engineering (Windows and/or embedded systems)
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GICSP, GPEN, GXPN, GWAPT, or OSCP
  • Experience developing or enhancing security testing tools and frameworks
