We are recruiting a highly motivated and professional Senior Security Officer to support operations at a prominent facility in London. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment while delivering exceptional customer service to staff, visitors and callers.
You’ll bring a strong background in corporate security, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. From carrying out identification checks and responding to emergencies to providing information and overseeing the presentation of key reception and meeting areas, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the site.
Location: London, W1S 1JD
Pay Rate: £14.85 per hour
Shift Pattern: 56 hours per week – day shifts on a 7/3, 7/4 pattern
Requirement: Valid SIA Licence

As a Senior Security Officer, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the security, professionalism and smooth day-to-day operation of a prominent corporate site. You’ll act as a key point of contact for staff and visitors, providing clear information and assistance while ensuring security procedures are followed and the premises remain safe and presentable.

What we’re looking for?
· A valid SIA Licence and at least one year's proven experience working as a Security Officer, including a minimum of one year's experience within a corporate security environment.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with staff, visitors and callers and provide clear information in person, over the telephone and by email.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate reports and document incidents to the required standard.
· A professional attitude and high standard of personal presentation, with the ability to represent Ward Security and the client positively at all times.
· Strong observation and surveillance skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to recognise security concerns, identify health and safety risks and respond appropriately.
· Good IT skills, with the ability to operate security detection systems and emergency equipment and manage relevant information effectively.
· Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise responsibilities, manage competing demands and help ensure the smooth running of site operations.
· A proactive and resourceful approach, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and the ability to resolve issues and respond confidently to unexpected situations.
· Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attendance and the ability to meet the requirements of a 56-hour working week on the specified day-shift pattern.
· Ability to provide a minimum of 5 years' checkable employment, education and/or unemployment history in line with BS7858 vetting requirements.
· The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism, customer service, security and site presentation.
