We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Data Platform Security Engineer to help us build and run secure, modern data platforms.
In this role, you’ll combine security engineering and architecture – designing solutions while also implementing them in real environments. You’ll work closely with data engineers, platform teams, and cloud experts to ensure security is built in, automated, and always enforced.
Build & Secure Data Platforms
Design security controls across AWS, SaaS, and on-prem data platforms
Work hands-on with AWS services (IAM, KMS, S3, logging)
Implement data protection (encryption, masking, fine-grained access control)
Design secure data flows and access patterns across environments
Engineer & Automate Security
Build security controls using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Develop reusable security guardrails and baseline configurations
Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (IaC scanning, secrets detection, policy-as-code)
Automate compliance and enforcement wherever possible
Monitor, Assess, Improve
Perform threat modelling and security reviews
Improve logging, monitoring, and detection capabilities
Support audits, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate & Drive Improvements
Work closely with engineering, architecture, network, cloud platform and risk teams
Help teams adopt secure-by-default practices
Contribute to long-term improvements in platform security
Strong experience in hands-on security engineering (with architectural thinking)
Practical AWS security experience (IAM, KMS, logging, networking)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, or similar)
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience building automated security controls and guardrails
Exposure data platforms (data lakes, DWH, analytics) and legacy data platforms (Oracle, SAP) is a plus
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
Good communication skills and a pragmatic mindset
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
