The role | Te tūnga

In this role, you will work closely with branches across the organisation to understand business drivers and provide strategic security input into planning discussions, roadmaps, and business case development. You will deliver trusted security advice to business leaders, architects, and technology partners, supporting informed decision-making across services, systems, and change initiatives.

You will actively monitor changes in business services, evolving threat landscapes, and emerging trends, using these insights to provide forward-looking advice that informs planning and risk mitigation. You will also gather feedback and insights from across the organisation to continuously review and refine security tools, processes, and frameworks, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and aligned with business needs.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou

  • Experience leading the delivery of large-scale programmes from contract through to operation and transition to BAU
  • Building and maintaining relationships across a diverse range of business units
  • Deep expertise in one or more security domains (e.g. architecture, assurance, risk management, cyber, information, or physical security (PSR))
  • Strong strategic and business planning capability, aligning security outcomes with technology and service improvement
  • Advanced analytical and conceptual thinking skills, applying innovative approaches to complex business and technology challenges
  • Industry-recognised security qualifications and certifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance

The appointing range for this role $136,502 - $169,869 with the potential to appoint higher depending on level of experience.
