Our KDN Bulgaria Cloud unit is focused on designing, building, securing and managing cloud native and hybrid platforms for the KPMG group of member firms, as well as providing cloud advisory and engineering services to external clients.

The role provides technical leadership and delivery oversight for automation and AI initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, increase scalability and reduce manual effort across security operations.

Job Description

• Lead the delivery of security automation and AI initiatives.
• Oversee the design, development and implementation of automation, orchestration and AI capabilities across security operations.
• Ensure that solutions deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency, scalability and effectiveness.
• Establish engineering standards, development practices, quality controls and secure coding principles.
• Drive the adoption of Microsoft Security Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Model Context Protocol and agentic AI capabilities.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows that enhance analyst productivity, investigation quality and security response.
• Evaluate emerging AI and cybersecurity technologies and support proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives.
• Provide technical oversight for API integrations, orchestration workflows and automation services.
• Design scalable integration patterns across security platforms, cloud services and operational tooling.
• Support the architecture, implementation and operation of AI and automation services.
• Develop and maintain security playbooks, integrations and response workflows using Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve security service delivery.
• Automate detection deployment, validation, enrichment, investigation and response activities.
• Ensure that automation and AI solutions meet security, compliance, governance and audit requirements.
• Oversee the operational support and continuous improvement of deployed automation and AI capabilities.
• Maintain technical documentation, engineering standards, operational procedures and runbooks.
• Manage technical stakeholders and coordinate the delivery of cross-functional security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, security operations or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, technical programmes or security technology initiatives.
• Strong experience designing and delivering security automation and orchestration capabilities within SOC or GSOC environments.
• Proven experience developing and operationalising AI-driven cybersecurity capabilities.
• Deep understanding of security operations, incident response, threat detection and threat-hunting methodologies.
• Advanced experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR architecture, playbook development, integrations and orchestration.
• Experience implementing and scaling Microsoft Security Copilot or comparable AI use cases within security operations environments.
• Strong understanding of GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development and modern software engineering practices.
• Knowledge of large language models, prompt engineering, Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol and responsible AI practices.
• Experience developing and integrating MCP services, AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Expertise in REST APIs, SDKs, OAuth, JSON, web services, event-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PowerShell and automation frameworks.
• Experience developing complex integrations using APIs, cloud-native services and automation platforms.
• Experience managing technical stakeholders and leading cross-functional delivery initiatives.
• Strong analytical, leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
