The Senior Security Analyst is a member of the Global Security Operations Center (SOC), taking ownership of security incidents from detection through resolution, including leading complex investigations and driving effective response actions.
This role is responsible for proactively identifying and analyzing emerging threats, monitoring security events, and conducting in-depth investigations. The analyst makes informed decisions to contain and remediate security incidents while operating across the full incident lifecycle. In addition to reactive response, the role contributes to detection improvement, identification of gaps in existing controls and proactive threat hunting.
The analyst leverages advanced security tooling, threat intelligence, and investigative techniques, while continuously strengthening detection capabilities and improving response processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform as part of the CTDO group, initial analysis, triage and response tasks of cyber events with the security team to operate a global SOC for Bunge to safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and information systems.
• Conduct advance Incident Response analysis to collect, store, and correlate, analyze, identify and respond to security data derived from sensors.
• Implement, configure, and optimize the detection and reporting capabilities of company’s global security tool suite.
• Collect and analyze intrusion artifacts (e.g., event logs, source code, malware) and use discovered data to support incident response actions.
• Support, Mentor and Train Jr. Cyber Security Analysts
• Conduct rapid incident response activities and cyber event investigations, formulate technical response actions to mitigate/contain cyber event.
• Conduct a mature level of critical thinking and deductive reasoning as it relates to root cause analysis of actual or suspected security incidents recommended corrective actions.
• Provide and or contribute to the development of ad-hoc information security reports to be shared with the Information Security Working Group and other executive leadership, as required.

EXPECTATIONS:

• Preferred candidate has 4-7+ years’ experience in the Information Technology field
• Minimum of 4+ years of direct experience in Cyber Security, SOC operations, Incident Response, and Security tool integration & operations is required.
• Ease of use when employing various cybersecurity technologies available on the market
• 4+ years direct experience with widely recognized technologies such as (one or many of):
  • SIEM stack (Splunk, QRadar, Logscale, Google Chronicle, other)
  • EDR stack (Crowdstrike Falcon, PaloAlto, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, other)
  • Networking stack (NGFW technologies, IDS/IPS technologies, WAF technologies, anti DDOS technologies, Email security, Web security)
• 3-5+ cumulative years prior experience in any of the following positions: system administrator, application developer, database administrator
• Familiarity with:
  Identity-based attacks (AD, Azure AD, IAM)
  Cloud security concepts (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree of Science in computer science, information systems, engineering, or programming
• Industry recognized certifications such as GSEC, GCIA, CEH. CISCO or other widely recognized vendors highly desired
• Intermediate scripting/querying knowledge in (one or many of): KQL, SPL, AQL YARA-L, Sigma Rules with recent and basic programming experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance-oriented industry is preferred.
• Advanced understanding and demonstrated technical skills and abilities in the technical information security operations/IR domain
