About this role

A Senior Scrum Master acts as a servant leader to other scrum masters and scrum teams and clears obstacles, captures and tracks key sprint metrics and coaches teams on following Agile practices. Works to escalate, manage risk and ensure continuous value delivery.

Responsible for facilitating Agile and ensuring teams adhere to agile principles, processes, and practices

Key Responsibilities

• Shield teams from external interruptions and distractions that can affect their productivity and focus.
• Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across teams.
• Aggregates, track and escalates teams impediments and roadblocks that hinder progress.
• Backup for SM of all general sprint activities for the agile team, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc.. and keep everyone informed.
• Recognize and addresses anti-patterns
• Foster a collaborative and self-organizing culture within the teams and promote cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Support Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Technical Pod Leads, and development teams to help teams reach goals and ensure teams have a clear understanding of product backlog items and their priorities.
• Collaborate with teams scheduled work, including defect remediation and refactoring, guarding against the accumulation of technical debt.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of how to scope and estimate work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional people skills. Comfortable working with a diverse group of people and serve as arbitrator when conflicts arise.
• Experience in Project Management and/or serving as Scrum Master.
• Management of more than one significant project at a time.
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst and/or Tester helpful, not required
• Practical use of quality management tools and techniques.
• Optional Certification: Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) 4-6 years of experience preferred.
