Job Title:

Senior Scientist, Formulation

The Role:

The Scientist will contribute to the development of high‑performance CMP polishing solutions (slurries and cleans) for advanced semiconductor device manufacturing within Entegris R&D. This role will support the creation of innovative CMP formulations by identifying novel and effective components, defining key product characteristics, elucidating mechanisms of action, and delivering differentiated performance to customers. The Scientist will own defined aspects of development projects, including experimental design and data analysis, and will be expected to communicate and discuss results directly with Global R&D colleagues and cross‑functional partners.

In this role you will:

• Design, analyze, and interpret experimentsto advance formulation performance and deepen mechanistic understanding through robust property–activity relationships.

• Develop transfer functions at the solution‑component leveland optimize formulations to meet customer requirements.

• Generate innovative solutions to complex technical challengesby applying multidisciplinary knowledge and diverse technical principles; demonstrate curiosity and willingness to explore novel methods, leveraging transfer ‑function expertise to enhance product performance.

• Document and communicate research results effectively, including presentations and publications for internal and external stakeholders, and prepare patent filings as needed to protect intellectual property.

• Communicate clearly and collaborate across Global R&D and Entegris functionsby sharing research outcomes, adopting best practices, and driving continuous improvement to achieve research objectives.

• Collaborate within a diverse, cross‑functional team, including engineers, customer representatives, chemists, quality specialists, production engineers, customer‑facing personnel, and account managers.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• PhDdegreein Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

• Hands-on experimental capability, with the ability to coach and guide research assistants.

• Strong communication skillswith proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross ‑functional teams.

• Proficiency in data analysis for formulation improvement, including application of statistical methods.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing and deliveringproject reports, technical papers, and presentations.

• Strong English proficiencyin oral communication, technical writing, and presentations.

• Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive original ideaswithin the scope of project research.
