We create chemistry! Based on modern analytical methods and synthesis procedures we design and develop a great variety of chemical assay components for Dia and Pharma. With our domain knowledge and our wide spectrum of methods, we also accompany the whole lifecycle of active diagnostics ingredients.
We provide in “Chemistry Technologies” a full spectrum of chemical technologies from small molecules to biooligomers and polymers to find the right solutions for diagnostic questions and beyond. We design tailor-made molecules and develop lab scale procedures to provide a competitive advantage for our products.
Your Key Responsibilities
Development of synthesis strategies within projects that require particularly complex nucleic acid chemical and organic syntheses
Conducting these syntheses in the laboratory
Observing the field of nucleic acid chemistry and modern preparative organic chemistry through literature and patent studies, and attending conferences
Building and maintaining a network through contacts with external and internal experts
Collaborating with cooperating partners, e.g., in the USA
Ensuring the required technology through the generation of own IP
Adhering to internal and external regulations regarding occupational safety and environmental protection, quality management, labor law, confidentiality, etc.
Representing the team leadership at project meetings and assisting in the professional supervision of employees
Who you are
You have completed a university degree in chemistry and additionally a PhD in the field of organic chemistry
You are an expert in oligonucleotide synthesis and preparative organic synthesis as well as in the purification of synthesis products. You gained this special knowledge by working in the pharmaceutical industry for at least 3 -5 years.
Ideally, you have experience with non-standard oligo building blocks and ultra high purity reagents for the synthesis of highly pure oligonucleotides and experience with large scale, high quality oligonucleotide synthesis
At the same time, you bring good knowledge in nucleic acids, excellent chemical knowledge, and basic knowledge in biochemistry
You are strong in communication, both in German and English
To build a network, you know how to use and maintain your contacts to establish a good relationship of trust
You also place a high value on good teamwork to find the best solutions and to assist in the professional supervision of employees
Projektmanagement in an industrial setting is even so well known to you
This position is limited to 2 years.
