Experienced Sr. Scientist & Technical Professional with in-depth knowledge in a specialized technology area and focused applications, responsible for completing complex experiments requiring interpretation and analysis. (Typical entry point for PhD hires.)

Core Capabilities

  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own technology discipline to formulate programs and create solutions for customers and other stakeholders.
  • Understands the products and competencies across a business segment.
  • Senior Scientist leading formulation development, project management, and commercialization of materials.
  • Experience in Metallurgy, specifically liquid metal technology experience a plus.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Guides, trains and develops others, leading teams and coaching colleagues to solve complex problems.

Project & Technical Contributions

  • Leads and/or contributes to multiple projects to develop solutions, drive business adoption of technology and meet customer needs.
  • May lead specific technical segments in larger R&D programs.

Innovation & Problem Solving

  • Suggests/creates innovations, applying tested ideas or methods from other areas
  • Solves complex problems independently; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Work Location

  • Primary work location is Midland, Michigan
  • Travel: 10-20% travel to Cleveland, OH.
