Position Title:SeniorScheduling Construction Manager– Level V

Position Location:Location varies by assignment. 75–100% travel across the U.S. unless assigned to an extended project. Mustbelocatednear a major US airport.

TheSeniorScheduling Construction Manager (SS CM) serves as a key member of DLB Associates’ Construction Quality Management (CQM) Department, supporting hyperscale, mission-critical data center programs through expert schedule development, analysis, and control. Acting as an owner’s representative and trusted advisor, this roleis responsible fordeveloping,maintaining, and analyzing detailed construction schedules from preconstruction through closeout to support informed decision-making, risk mitigation, and successful project delivery.

TheSeniorScheduling Construction Manageroperateswith a high degree of independence, supporting large, complex data center projects and programs. This position integrates closely with design, construction, commissioning, and client teams to ensure schedules accurately reflect scope, sequencing, constraints, and readiness requirements typical of mission-critical environments. Thisrole may also provide guidance and informal oversight to junior scheduling staff.

This person will be self-directed on day-to-day work and receive high level instruction on new projects,tasksor assignments. Will execute and lead teams and projects,tasksor assignments of complex scope.  May coordinate activities of other personnel.

The SS CMwill communicate andoperatein line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmentalobjectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Scheduling Leadership & Owner Advocacy

  • Develop,maintain, and analyze integrated master schedules for hyperscale and mission-critical data center construction projects.
  • Serve as the owner’s scheduling representative, providing objective analysis of contractor and program schedules.
  • Translate project and clientobjectivesinto clear, executable scheduling strategies.
  • Communicate schedule status, risks, and recovery strategies clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preconstruction & Planning

  • Support preconstruction efforts including baseline schedule development, phasing plans, milestone definition, and constructability sequencing.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedules reflect realistic durations, logic, and constraints.
  • Support early identification of schedule risks related to long-lead equipment, permitting, utility coordination, and commissioning readiness.

Construction & Program Controls

  • Maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules, ensuring logic integrity, critical path accuracy, and progress validation.
  • Review and analyze contractor updates, time impact analyses, and schedule recovery plans.
  • Support schedule integration across multiple workstreams including MEP, CSA, commissioning (L1–L5), and turnover activities.
  • Leverage schedule data to support forecasting, earned value concepts, and executive-level reporting.

Tools, Reporting & Collaboration

  • Utilize Primavera P6 as the primary scheduling platform; integrate schedule data with Procore and other projectcontrolssystems asrequired.
  • ApplySmartPMor similar analytics tools (where applicable) toidentifytrends, risks, and performance issues.
  • Prepare clear schedule narratives, dashboards, and visualizations to support client and leadership reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, construction managers, commissioning teams, and client representatives.

Technology, Digital Tools & AI-Enabled Efficiency

  • Leverage AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, high-quality work output.
  • Identifyopportunities to improve processes anddemonstratea continuous learning mindset, seeking outnew technologies, skills, and methods that elevate individual and team performance.
  • Adapt toemergingtechnologies and evolving digital workflows, actively supporting the integration and adoption of innovative tools across the organization.

Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ADVANCED level for all the following)

  • Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling principles for large, complex, mission-critical or data center projects.
  • Experience developing and managing schedules across preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
  • Demonstratedproficiencywith Primavera P6; workingknowledge of Procorerequired.
  • Experience withSmartPMor similar schedule analytics tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of mission-critical construction sequencing, including MEP-intensive work and commissioning integration.
  • Demonstrated ability toidentifyschedule risks, analyze impacts, and develop mitigation or recovery strategies.
  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to present schedule information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Some experience guiding or coordinating the work of junior staff or supporting team development.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with remote and onsite teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability toleveragedigital tools, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve scheduling and reporting efficiency.

  • Frequently required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Frequently working at a computer and manipulating input devices.
  • Occasionally required to visit active construction sites, including data center environments with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and uneven surfaces.
  • On occasion, the employee may move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 75–100% travel across the U.S. unless assigned to an extended project.
  • Musthave a valid driver’s license and the ability to rent vehicles.
  • Travel is project-dependent and may include periodic visits to client sites, meetings, or project reviews.
  • Effective May 7, 2025, andin accordance withU.S. federal regulations for domestic air travel, a valid REAL ID (or an acceptable alternative, such as a passport) isrequiredfor travel associated with this position.
  • Travel may involve transportation by car or plane depending on businessneeds.
  • Travelis defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees,meetingsfor business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.

CERTIFICATIONS & SAFETY

  • Ability to achieve OSHA and/or other safety training asrequired
  • Adherence to DLB and client health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, ora relateddiscipline.

OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

PLUS

  • Minimum of eight years of related experience, including progressive responsibility in construction scheduling for large-scale commercial, mission-critical, or data center projects.
