Senior Scheduler | Pharmaceutical - Pennsylvania

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scheduler to join a dynamic and reputable organisation who is going through significant growth. This is a unique opportunity for a talented professional to work with a pharma client in America.

The role will develop and manage project schedules using Primavera and Microsoft Project and contribute to the successful execution of critical projects. Your expertise and experience will be crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The Role:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain complex project schedules for pharmaceutical projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate representation of project activities in schedules.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and resource constraints, and work proactively to propose solutions to mitigate risks and maintain project timelines.
  • Regularly monitor project progress and schedule adherence, providing timely updates to stakeholders and escalating issues as needed.
  • Utilise scheduling software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) to create, update, and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and critical path analysis.
  • Communicate scheduling changes, updates, and adjustments effectively to team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of schedule impacts.
  • Participate in project planning and review meetings to provide insights on scheduling considerations, constraints, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by recommending best practices for project scheduling, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior schedulers as needed.

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, project management or a related field.
  • 7+ years proven experience in project scheduling, with a strong background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Solid understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies.
  • Expert in using industry-standard project management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and scheduling tools.
  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical project lifecycles, regulatory considerations, and industry-specific challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential scheduling conflicts and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
