This role involves a dual focus on SAP Platform Service Delivery and Service Transition Management, supporting the organization through a critical S/4HANA transformation and operational restructuring.

Your tasks

• Lead the weekly coordination of 10 freelance engineers across run activities and project-related service requests

• Collaborate with Tech Leads and Product Group Leads to ensure alignment and approvals on team priorities

• Secure necessary sign-offs and manage architecture decisions within the SAP platform environment

• Oversee team financials and manage procurement-related topics for the platform team

• Contribute to the target 'To-Be' design of the SAP Platform team to maximize the utilization of managed services

• Lead the definition of a new team organization, including roles for Tech Leads and Service Delivery Managers and the rationale for staffing levels

• Design and lead the service transition strategy to ensure seamless operational continuity

• Drive collaboration with external managed service providers with support from the internal project team

Must have competences

• Senior-level experience as an SAP Project Manager or SAP Interim Manager

• Proven team leadership and facilitation expertise, specifically within Kanban, continuous backlog, or recurring-task environments

• Extensive experience in SAP Platform Service Delivery, including the coordination of technical teams (e.g., up to 10 freelance engineers)

• Strong English communication skills with the ability to clearly explain the status of SAP incidents or service requests to stakeholders

• Solid understanding of SAP run activities and platform management

• Experience in Service Transition, including transition design and the definition of new team organizations

• Ability to collaborate with technical leads and product leads to align on team priorities, architecture decisions, and financial topics

Nice to have competences

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis or system administration

• Experience with SAP development or other technical SAP-related activities

• Previous experience in the context of S/4HANA transformation projects

• Experience driving collaboration with external managed service providers

• Familiarity with team financials and procurement topics within an IT environment
