We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Senior SAP HCM Payroll Consultants to join our international support team located in Poland and Germany, delivering SAP HCM services for German customers. The role covers Application Management Services (AMS), including Run & Maintenance activities, 2nd and 3rd Level Support, Change Requests, Enhancements, and project delivery activities within SAP HCM environments, currently focused on SAP ERP landscape
Key responsibilities:
Provide functional consulting and application support for SAP HCM Payroll (PY-DE) solutions.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within Payroll and related HCM modules (PA, OM, PT).
Perform system customization and configuration according to business, legal and statutory requirements.
Participate in implementation projects, system enhancements, and change requests.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, HR departments, and technical teams.
Support testing activities, defect resolution, and deployment of payroll-related changes.
Work in an international environment with German-speaking customers and project teams.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in consulting, implementation, and application support of complex SAP HCM solutions, with a strong focus on German Payroll (PY-DE).
Deep hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll configuration and customization, including schemas, rules/PCRs, wage types, payroll processing, retroactive accounting, and payroll-related integrations (posting to FI / FI integration).
Experience with SAP Notes / OSS Notes, HR Support Packages, and year-end payroll activities.
Strong knowledge of related SAP HCM modules – PA, OM, PT.
Solid understanding of German HR and payroll business processes.
Knowledge of German payroll statutory processes and communication with authorities, including ELStAM, DEÜV / social insurance reporting, rvBEA, and related SAP HCM B2A processes.
Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).
Experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex production issues.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High degree of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering assigned tasks.
Strong team-player mindset with the ability to work in distributed international teams.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with SAP HCM integration scenarios involving other SAP and non-SAP systems.
Experience with SAP HR interfaces and reporting.
