Te Tūranga – About the role
As our Senior SAP Data Consultant, you’ll help deliver stable, scalable and high-performing SAP data and analytics solutions that support critical business reporting, operational readiness and future platform evolution.

This is a hands-on senior role that combines development, platform support, production stability, continuous improvement and technical leadership. You’ll work across a broad SAP data landscape including SAP BW on HANA, HANA, BusinessObjects, BODS, Datasphere, CDS Views, SAC, Aecorsoft, Nifi, S/4HANA and SAP CAR, supporting both current services and future analytics capabilities.

You’ll also contribute to the data availability function so the business can wake up to data and insights they can trust, to make critical business decisions with confidence.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be getting up to:

• Platform Delivery and Development: Design, develop, maintain and optimise SAP data and analytics solutions that meet FSNI standards and support core business needs.
• SAP Data Engineering: Apply your expertise across SAP BW modelling, native HANA development, SQL, data integration, provisioning, CDS view development and analytics and visualisation solutions.
• Production Support: Help resolve issues, perform testing and optimisation, contribute to code reviews, and maintain strong technical documentation and governance.
• Data Availability Support: Provide senior technical input into overnight monitoring, incident diagnosis, prioritisation, recovery and stakeholder communication where needed.
• Cross-Platform Problem Solving: Work across end-to-end data flows spanning SAP S/4HANA, SAP CAR, BW, BOBJ, BODS, Datasphere, Nifi, Aecorsoft and the wider Foodstuffs data ecosystem.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities to strengthen platform stability, resilience and supportability.
• Leadership and Coaching: Mentor team members, share technical knowledge, contribute to peer reviews, and help build a strong, dependable team culture.
• Future-Focused Delivery: Support the evolution of SAP analytics capabilities including BW/4HANA, Embedded Analytics, CDS Views, SAC and Datasphere.

He kōrero mōu - About you
You’re a senior SAP data professional who enjoys combining technical depth with business impact. You’re comfortable building and optimising solutions, supporting production issues, mentoring others, and improving the way the team works.

You bring strong SAP data and analytics experience, a practical and calm approach under pressure, and the ownership and reliability expected of a senior technical team member. You know how to balance quality, timeliness and business impact, and you communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential for success in this role will be your:

• 8–10+ years’ hands-on experience in SAP analytics solutions, with strong depth
• Experience designing, developing, optimising and supporting SAP BW/HANA data models, process chains, transformations, extractors, queries and data provisioning solutions
• Strong capability across BW, Native HANA modelling, CDS view development, ABAP development, business process analysis, technical data analysis, data integration, data modelling, data quality, and support of business-critical reporting environments
• Experience investigating production issues, performing root cause analysis, prioritising effectively and working calmly in time-sensitive situations
• Knowledge of tools and platforms such as SAC, BW BEx, BODS, BOBJ, Nifi, DW Retail / MS SQL, Aecorsoft and Datasphere, CDS Views.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, software development lifecycle processes, version control and documentation standards
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas, issues, risks and recommendations clearly
• High levels of ownership, reliability, accountability, attention to detail and initiative
