Senior Salesforce Solution Designer (Hybrid)
This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and innovative Salesforce solutions that directly align with enterprise business objectives. The Senior Salesforce Solution Designer serves as a strategic and technical leader, requiring deep hands-on expertise across Salesforce platforms and technologies, including Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and enterprise integration frameworks
As a key design authority, you will bridge business and technology by translating complex requirements into well-architected solutions while guiding cross-functional teams through delivery. Operating at an enterprise level, this role ensures alignment across systems, data, and technology in both cloud and hybrid environments.
This position follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility to optimize team engagement and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Architecture & Advanced Solution Design
Lead end-to-end architecture and solution design across Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud
Design solutions leveraging Salesforce Lightning, Apex, LWC, and Flow to deliver scalable, high-performance applications
Define robust data models, security architecture, and sharing frameworks aligned with enterprise standards
Architect complex integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft or equivalent)
Establish and maintain architecture artifacts, design standards, and reusable frameworks
Technical Leadership & Delivery Excellence
Serve as the technical authority guiding developers, admins, and QA teams in implementing scalable Salesforce solutions
Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship, particularly in custom development (Apex, LWC) and platform optimization
Lead design reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and governance frameworks
Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies, influencing backlog prioritization and technical delivery strategy
Enterprise Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with business and senior stakeholders to shape solutions that are innovative, feasible, and aligned with enterprise strategy
Provide architectural insight into business cases, including feasibility, scalability, and risk considerations
Drive cross-system integration to ensure cohesive enterprise architecture
Innovation, Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize Salesforce platform capabilities using modern features and development frameworks
Research and prototype emerging technologies and Salesforce capabilities to enhance future-state architecture
Champion continuous improvement through automation, reusable components, and improved development practices
Risk, Security & Compliance
Design secure, compliant Salesforce solutions aligned with regulatory requirements and enterprise risk frameworks
Identify and mitigate architectural and delivery risks proactively
Ensure all implementations meet enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of progressive Salesforce experience, including solution design, development, and architecture
Hands-on expertise in Salesforce development technologies, including Lightning, Apex, LWC, and Flow
Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations
Proven expertise in system integrations using APIs and middleware platforms
Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, and governance
Experience operating in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Critical Expertise & Certifications (Highly Valued)
The following are considered essential differentiators for success in this role:
Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (strongly preferred)
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and/or II
Demonstrated experience with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft or similar)
Proven track record delivering complex, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions utilizing modern development frameworks (LWC, Apex, Flow)

$94,600.00 - $176,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
