Position Purpose
The Senior Salesforce Admin Specialist is responsible for administering and optimizing Habitat Charlotte Region’s Salesforce environment and serving as the primary point of contact for Salesforce-related questions, issues, and enhancements. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of organizational data while supporting efficient information flow across the organization.
In addition to hands-on system administration, this position provides strategic guidance on Salesforce architecture, collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders, and mentors less experienced Salesforce administrators to strengthen internal capacity and best practices.
Essential Functions
- Architect, guide, and implement Salesforce system-wide changes and customizations to improve effectiveness and constituent engagement
- Advise on Salesforce architecture and solutions that align business processes with data needs, including what data is required, why it is needed, and when
- Collaborate with Habitat Charlotte Region staff to gather, document, and translate business requirements into Salesforce features, functionality, and workflows
- Serve as the primary Salesforce technical support and training resource for staff
- Coordinate with Salesforce vendors to resolve system issues and support additional training needs
- Ensure timely and efficient processing of help desk tickets related to Salesforce and supported systems
- Provide mentorship, solution design guidance, and oversight to less experienced Salesforce Administrators to build organizational capacity
- Create and guide documentation of Habitat Charlotte Region’s business processes and system usage across Salesforce and related platforms
- Reduce complexity within the existing Salesforce environment by streamlining configurations and processes
- Provide additional Salesforce support activities as needed
- Serve as the administrative point of contact for select ancillary systems (e.g., eSignature software, accounting systems)

QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 3–5 years of Salesforce Administrator experience with demonstrated proficiency in:

- - Sales Cloud (including basic Case Management)

- - Preferred: Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)

Core Salesforce Skills Include:
- Security Management (Profiles, Permission Sets, Role Hierarchy, OWDs)
- Object Management (standard and custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts)
- Validation Rules, Formula Fields, and Quick Actions
- Process Automation with strong proficiency in Salesforce Flow
- Collaboration Tools (Activity Management, Chatter, Email-to-Salesforce)
- Lightning App Builder, including dynamic forms and conditional components
- Data management tools and best practices
- Creation and management of complex Salesforce reports and dashboards
- 1–2 years of Salesforce solution design experience, including:

- Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred
- Strong communication skills with experience working across multiple constituencies

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Strong teamwork, initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- College degree or equivalent experience

This position works primarily indoors in an office setting.

- Ability to assist with setup for special events as needed
