Job Description

Are you interested in learning more about the trade and international sides of the publishing business, while working with a variety of departments in an essential role? Our Sales Ops team is hiring a Senior Sales Support Associate to help with the key behind-the-scenes work of getting physical and digital books to stores and to readers all over the world!

This position will be involved in coordination of our international editions, local prints program, and our global sister offices. The position will interact with many parts of the business including Sales Directors, international vendors, and our Publishing teams in key day-to-day responsibilities. A great next step for individuals looking to grow in an Operations career.    

Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, works under the direction of the Associate Director, Sales Operations, providing support for the international edition program, including setting up titles, soliciting projections, and synchronization with departments on Sales Ops logistics and tracking editions with Sales team.
  • Facilitates the operational directives of local print initiatives, partnering with production and cross-functional teams to manage schedules, P&Ls, project milestones, and communications.
  • Administers the international promotional pricing program and serves as the Sales Operations lead for production and inventory coordination across the International Sales group.
  • Supports the print-on-demand program while overseeing competitive publisher tracking and coordination of HCUK/HCUS shared title initiatives.
  • Acts as the primary Sales Operations liaison for system-related processes and enhancements, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provides senior-level operational support on departmental initiatives, special projects, and presentations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience; prior publishing or project management experience a plus
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, able to set priorities and juggle multiple projects under pressure
  • Ability to maintain complicated schedules involving multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products and ability to learn a variety of company systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$68,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
