Title and Summary

Senior Sales Representative, Specialist SalesAs the Senior Specialist for Acceptance Solutions in Germany you will be responsible for the development of Mastercard’s growth within the Acceptance and Merchant Solutions space with focus on Merchant Cloud, Cloud Commerce, as well as the role of agentic commerce and Mastercard's AgentPay program embedded into the omnichannel customer experience. The role will involve working closely with the overall acceptance team, the divisional product counterparts as well as customers to identify opportunities to leverage Mastercard’s merchant solutions offerings.

You will be part of the German Customer Solution Center product team and you will work closely with other parts of the European and Global Product organization.

The role will include the feedback of customer/market requirements to the respective European/global product teams to ensure that they are included in new product development initiatives.

Your Role

The Senior Specialist Acceptance and Merchant Solutions will define the product go-to-market strategy, together with divisional and country acceptance and product teams by:

• Contribute to the German go‑to‑market strategy for Merchant Cloud (formerly known as Mastercard Payment gateway Services, MPGS) and Cloud Commerce (Tap on Phone solution)
• Drive analytical support for Merchant Cloud and Cloud Commerce expansion, identifying regions, merchant types, partners and areas with high-growth potential
• Analyze merchant adoption funnels and usage data to highlight growth opportunities, bottlenecks, and priority actions
• Create a storyline and value proposition of Mastercard’s merchant cloud solutions in the space of Agentic Commerce
• Leverage early developments of Agentic Service offerings such as whitelabel generative product discovery agents as a segway to merchants into the Mastercard merchant solutions product suite
• Identify and size underpenetrated merchant verticals, segments, and use cases (e.g. SME, micro‑merchants, field sales, mobile acceptance)
• Actively support pipeline creation and conversion by engaging with customers and partners on Mastercard merchant solutions, contributing to opportunity development and deal progression
• Engage with ecosystem partners including acquirers, PSPs, ISVs, and emerging agentic commerce enablers to scale distribution of Mastercard solutions
• Jointly prepare customer meetings and workshops integrating with other digital product experts i.e. collaborating with experts related to MDES, Click to Pay, Passkeys, AgentPay, and Services
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, Advisors, and Marketing to turn insights into scalable and inventive merchant initiatives
• Become part of the German product team that ongoingly contributes to national Mastercard brand events, offsite presentations, customer requests for proposals

All About You

• Bachelor's/ Master’s Degree Education or comparable education
• Preferably experience in product management in an international environment
• Expert knowledge and experience in related B-2-B business experience, preferably in financial payments and card payment industry
• Understanding of the Payments and Acceptance business domain
• Proven track record of customer oriented solution development
• Innovative individual, decisive and results driven
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Good ability to build relationships and network with relevant groups (internal and external)
• Strong self-starter and motivator
• Fluent knowledge (both written and spoken) in German and English
• Strong presentation skills
Strong communication and team-work skills
