Job Description

CEL Critical Power is a global provider of mission-critical power solutions operating at the centre of the AI, hyperscale data centre and critical infrastructure ecosystem. Demand for CEL’s products is strong and accelerating. The challenge is not sales demand, it is executing growth at pace without compromising delivery certainty, production discipline or customer trust. Operating from its Irish base, CEL continues to scale its production capability in parallel with its US expansion, with similar ambitions to significantly increase output over the coming years. Ireland remains central to CEL’s global operating model and will continue to play a critical role in delivering high-quality, engineered products at scale.

The Sales Manager for Modular EMEA is accountable for making sure every modular project is technically sound and commercially defensible before it reaches a customer. On the technical side, this means taking front-end design ownership across the full system stack within a modular unit; layout, structural, electrical, fire, BMS, and cooling and making sure those elements are properly integrated and specified. On the commercial side, it means acting as the guardrail for the tendering function: reviewing modular cost inputs, protecting margin, and giving the business confidence that what's being priced is achievable and accurate.

The role also carries direct responsibility for CEL's key external partners in this space, fabrication and module-build partners, along with suppliers of cooling, electrical, BMS, and fire systems, managing those relationships commercially to ensure reliability, competitive terms, and consistent quality across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Design & Technical Coordination

  • Own front-end design for PowerPod, PowerSkid and modular offerings from concept through to tender-ready scope
  • Coordinate design integration across layout, structural, electrical, fire, BMS, cooling, and other systems within each modular project
  • Review and sign off on technical scope definition before it is handed to the tendering function
  • Act as the technical escalation point for modular design queries during the sales and tendering process
  • Identify design standardisation opportunities across the modular product range to improve repeatability and cost efficiency

Commercial Management & Cost Certainty

  • Provide cost certainty and pricing guard-rails to the tendering function on all modular aspects of a bid
  • Review, challenge, and validate modular cost inputs before submission to protect pricing integrity and margin
  • Partner with the tendering and estimating teams throughout the bid lifecycle, providing technical-commercial input at each stage
  • Flag and mitigate commercial risk arising from design changes, partner cost fluctuations, or scope creep
  • Contribute to post-tender reviews to capture lessons learned and refine future cost modeling

Partner & Supplier Engagement

  • Manage commercial relationships with key fabrication and module-build partners across EMEA
  • Engage and manage suppliers of cooling, electrical, BMS, and fire systems
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing agreements, and service levels with partners
  • Monitor partner performance against cost, quality, and delivery expectations
  • Develop and maintain a resilient partner network to support modular business growth, including identifying and onboarding new suppliers where needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Working with the Sales team, and closely with the design, procurement and manufacturing teams to providing engineering expertise, best practice and guardrails on all elements of CEL modular business.
  • Report into the Chief Sales Officer on modular pipeline, partner performance, and commercial risk

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in a technical-commercial role within modular, off-site construction, power systems, or a related industrial equipment sector
  • Working knowledge of the systems involved in modular builds; structural, electrical, fire, BMS, and cooling, sufficient to coordinate across disciplines and challenge design/cost inputs credibly
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial relationships with fabrication, module-build, or systems-integration partners, including negotiation and performance management
  • Strong commercial acumen, with direct experience supporting or owning cost certainty within a tendering or bid process
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and estimating teams
  • Comfortable operating across EMEA, with willingness to travel as required

Desirable

  • Engineering or technical qualification (mechanical, electrical, or structural discipline)
  • Experience specifically within power generation, critical power, or data center infrastructure
  • Familiarity with modular product lines analogous to PowerPod/PowerSkid/ container-based systems
  • Existing network of fabrication or systems-integration partners within EMEA
