The Sales Manager for GE Digital Power Generation, O&G and Metals & Mining (M&M) will lead the strategic sales and market development efforts for GE Digital across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion. This role requires high-level commercial judgment to influence business priorities, execute commercial agreements with autonomy, and influence a team to achieve operational excellence in alignment with our corporate practices.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build a deep understanding of Power generation,M&M and O&G customer needs to position our digital solutions, drive new business, and expand our footprint within existing accounts.
  • Earn customer trust and foster long-term partnerships through reliable execution and consistent value delivery.
  • Create and implement an Account Playbook with a clear “go high/go low” strategy for the Enterprise account. Where needed, establish joint governance processes with executive sponsorship across commercial, product/technology, implementation, and support pillars.
  • Design a world-class account management and value-selling framework tailored to the GED M&M sector, covering the full deal lifecycle, resource planning, technology support, and sales methodology to meet customer and shareholder objectives.
  • Shape the strategic growth vision for O&G and M&M industries. Collaborate with product, engineering, and service teams to manage the sales cycle from forecasting through to deal closure.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships with key decision-makers. Lead the development of new sales opportunities while coordinating with internal sales support teams.
  • Optimize commercial processes and utilize tools for growth like SFDC to manage the sales pipeline effectively and ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Actively grow and maintain a multi-year account plan that will be shared globally, including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Professional Services, and the Development teams to ensure full organizational alignment.
  • Guarantee a professional customer experience by ensuring all interactions feature clear agendas, written follow-ups, defined next steps, and prompt issue resolution.
  • Formulate winning proposals by combining deep knowledge of M&M and O&G industries, customer pain points and our digital product offerings.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, technology, or related discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience in software sales, business development, management consulting, and/or strategic planning within Power generation, M&M and O&G sectors, with proven track record of value selling.
  • Proactively identify market trends through data analysis and provide actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Manage complex account relationships to address client needs and converting competitive installations into GE Digital solutions.
  • Seen by client as strategic partner who brings values and solutions to address clients’ business needs

  • Manages and possesses working M&M and O&G industries knowledge and skillset
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction to both technical and non-technical audiences alike across all organizational levels
  • Proven track record of account management and sales success and achievement.
  • Understand the various financial instruments used by customers to conduct business.
  • Strong negotiation and sales leadership skills.
  • Prior experience selling contracts / products with technical content of substantial value is preferred.

  • Fast learner willing to learn the complete GE Digital portfolio and offerings
  • Excellent communication and English language skills
  • Willing to travel internationally and domestically
