The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for the direct and in-direct sales in Korea and the leadership role of the local Sales organization, reporting to the General Manager. The Senior Sales Manager has to promote and sell equipment of the full range of Videojet Industrial (Inkjet, TTO, Laser & LPA, etc) equipment to direct customers and resellers in Korea. And also managing sales team and developing N.S.A customers.
The Senior Sales Manager must provide strong leadership to the sales engineers while building cohesive partnerships with Supplies Sales, Marketing, Service and Customer Service.
Manager does not need to be or become a technical expert on Videojet equipment. Developing a high-level understanding of the equipment and its capabilities is sufficient.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibility to generate incremental revenue in Korea by managing, supporting and working with his/her team.
Work with Country Manager to identify current and future business opportunities by producing strategic plans optimizing the specific regional strategic success factors.
Maximize sales by driving communication, identifying compelling customer value propositions, appropriate technology selection, competitive pricing models and payment terms.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the selected vertical markets and their targeted accounts businesses, drivers, initiatives and the critical success factors.
Provide day-to-day lead role in managing outbound management of designated regional customer accounts by supporting his/her team member.
Ensure understand and progress of projects in his/her region by regular funnel reviews using SFDC as the central tool for both subsidiaries and distributors; make sure, that all projects are in SFDC with all sites and all details
Review competitive installed base and develop competition attack plan working
Leverage successes at individual sites to win business at all sites of the designated regional customer sites
Achieve revenue and margin targets through developing strong relationships with resellers
Support resellers with product related material and information to ensure they are fully capable of selling the full range of Videojet products
Excellent follow-up skills to insure we exceed customer expectations, and close all outstanding issues
Develops and drives accountability around daily management and monthly KPI’s
Major Objectives and Critical success factors include:
Achieve top line growth target
Achieve annual operating profit (OP) growth target
Achieve net unit under contract growth target
Qualifications, Educational & Experience
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control/Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration
10+ years of field sales experience in industrial equipment, capital machinery, factory automation, or related manufacturing solutions.
Proven leadership experience Minimum 3 years managing a sales team of 5 or more
Demonstrated success as a direct revenue owner, responsible for minimum USD 3M annual sales, with clear growth track record (YoY growth, market expansion, major wins)
Strong communication, listening skills, deductive reasoning, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Highly computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint; Oracle and SFDC preferred).
Fluent in Korean (native) and strong English communication skills – capable of business discussion, debate, presentations, and professional writing.
Able to travel 25%–50% within Korea.
Preferred Industry Background
Experience in F&B production and packaging equipment domestic sales.
Experience in packaging automation systems technical sales for various industries (domestic).
Experience selling automation/controls‑based equipment for automotive parts, electronic/electrical finished goods, or component production lines (domestic or export).
Preferred Experience & Competencies
Prior success in a process-oriented sales organization
Experience building cohesive partnerships across Marketing, Service, and Customer Service.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive complex sales cycles.
Strong accountability and performance management mindset.
