This isn’t just a numbers job - it’s an opportunity to blend business development, relationship management and estimating expertise to drive new businesses, convert leads into landmark projects and accelerate our expansion in the Calgary region.
If you are an entrepreneurially minded professional with a deep network in the local construction community and a sharp eye for commercial glazing estimates, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Growth & Business Development

  • Own the Calgary Market: Develop and execute a targeted regional sales plan to hit annual growth and awarded work targets.
  • Build Lasting Partnerships: Cultivate deep-rooted relationships with General Contractors, Developers, Architects and Consultants through direct outreach, office visits and networking.
  • Get Ahead of the Tender: Proactively identify and qualify project opportunities before they hit the open market.
  • Be the Face of Durabuilt: Represent the brand at industry associations, trade events and networking functions.
  • Track Your Success: Maintain an active sales pipeline and leverage Salesforce to forecast opportunities and capture market intelligence.

Precision Estimating & Tendering

  • Own the Bid: Attend pre-tender site meetings, review tender documentation and deliver highly accurate, competitive estimates.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Prepare detailed material take-offs and labor estimates while soliciting and leveling supplier/subcontractor pricing.
  • Close the Deal: Proactively follow up on submitted bids, gather competitive intelligence, and work closely with clients to clarify scope, inclusions and alternates.
  • Value Engineering: Identify and propose value-added options or cost-saving solutions that give Durabuilt a distinct competitive edge.
  • Seamless Handover: Prepare pristine documentation for all awarded projects and lead the transition to our Operations team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Blueprint: A Diploma in Construction/Civil Technology, an Estimating Certificate, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience.
  • The Track Record: Minimum 5 years of experience bridging commercial construction estimating, sales, project management, or business development.
  • The Specialty: Commercial glazing experience is strongly preferred. Experience estimating large-scale commercial glazing projects is a major asset.
  • The Network: An established web of connections within the Calgary construction market is highly desirable.
  • The Hustle: High comfort level conducting customer visits, presenting to clients, and working independently to build a market pipeline.
