This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm, and every other Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm.

We are looking for a Senior Sales Advisor to join our team in Kilmarnock (KA1 3XA) ,helping to grow sales through excellent customer service, account management and proactive selling.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and grow existing customer accounts
• Build strong relationships with trade customers
• Handle enquiries, quotes and orders from start to finish
• Follow up quotes and leads to maximise sales
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services
• Proactively contact new and lapsed customers to generate business
• Provide product advice and tailored solutions
• Work closely with the external sales team and wider branch
• Support sales initiatives and promotions
• Maximise sales, margin and customer satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in trade sales, internal sales or account management
• Ideally from a builders’ merchant, construction materials or trade environment
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Good knowledge of building materials and products
• Commercially aware, with a focus on sales and margin
• Confident handling quotes, enquiries and customer accounts
• Proactive, organised and motivated to win new business
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets
• Customer-focused, positive and passionate about the merchant industry, with a strong team spirit, high standards and pride in building lasting customer relationships
