Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Engineer to design, build, and scale a high-impact platform. This is an opportunity to work on a meaningful product, contribute to key technical decisions, and help shape the future of our engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Architect & Develop
  • Build and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Develop new features that enhance user experience and improve efficiency.
• Code Quality & Leadership
  • Write clean, maintainable code that is easy to test and scale.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Collaboration
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.
  • Take ownership of projects from ideation to deployment.
• Performance & Scalability
  • Monitor and optimize application performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Continuous Learning & Innovation
  • Stay up to date with the latest in Ruby on Rails, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Contribute new ideas to improve the platform and maintain a competitive edge.

What Were Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks ( React is a plus).
• Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and performance optimization
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure
• Prior experience in healthcare technology or working with integrations like TPP SystmOne is a plus.
• Passion for building meaningful products that have a real-world impact.

Bonus Skills

• Experience taking a product from zero to oneowning key features from ideation to launch.
• Interest in growing into a Team Lead role and shaping engineering culture.
• Startup or agile development experience.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch
