Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities: Hardware and network standardization scope
• PLC, HMI and I/O architectures: Define and validate standard Rockwell hardware architectures for PLCs, HMIs, remote I/O, safety I/O and related control system components.
• Industrial switches and networks: Define standard configurations for Rockwell industrial Ethernet switches, EtherNet/IP networks, DLR usage, VLAN principles and network diagnostics.
• Configuration settings: Write and validate PLC, HMI, I/O and switch configuration settings, including required parameters, naming, addressing and diagnostic behavior.
• System diagnostics: Define diagnostic principles for PLC, HMI, I/O, switches and communication faults, including alarm philosophy, troubleshooting and maintenance-oriented information.
• Standards and procedures: Write technical standards, engineering rules, commissioning procedures, configuration guides and validation checklists with Rockwell teams.
• Supplier and project support: Review supplier proposals, challenge incomplete configurations, support clarification with Rockwell and subcontractors, and ensure deployment consistency.
• Alignment with Siemens standards: Understand existing STLA-CS Siemens standards and identify how Rockwell solutions must provide equivalent control, diagnostics and maintainability principles.

Qualifications

• Very strong hands-on experience with Rockwell hardware architectures, including PLCs, HMIs, I/O systems and industrial switches.
• Strong knowledge of ControlLogix, GuardLogix, Rockwell I/O families and Rockwell industrial Ethernet switch families.
• Strong knowledge of EtherNet/IP, DLR architectures, VLAN configuration principles, industrial network diagnostics and OT cybersecurity constraints.
• Ability to define robust configuration standards and practical engineering procedures for project teams and suppliers.
• Ability to validate system diagnostics from hardware level up to HMI visualization and maintenance troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of Siemens automation hardware and PROFINET concepts in order to understand the current STLA-CS Siemens standards and support technical alignment.
