The opportunity

As the Senior Risk Underwriter - Credit & Surety you will act as a Trade Credit business partner with assigned intermediaries and policy holders. You will be responsible for underwriting, monitoring and reviewing Trade Credit risk for a portfolio of clients within set underwriting guidelines.

Your new role

A day in the role might look a bit like this..

  • Plan and implement risk strategies to assess and monitor credit risk across multiple portfolios and trade sectors
  • Complete complex credit assessments on large complex groups for submission to internal risk committees.
  • Underwrite Trade Credit risk in accordance with organisational policy and underwriting standards
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement processes

About you

To be successful as a Senior Underwriter you will ideally have extensive experience in Credit Insurance Risk Underwriting or a similar position. You will also have;

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with an ability to work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomes.
  • Strong Financial Analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor and train other team members.
  • Ability to develop relationships with external and internal to maximise influence and achieve business objectives
  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly become highly efficient in the use of new systems.
