In this role, you will apply your technical, analytical, and project management skills to help clients maximize the value of Verisk’s suite of solutions and troubleshoot software-related issues. You will collaborate closely with global research, software development, and product management teams to resolve client challenges effectively.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese are essential, particularly the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Please note that the successful candidate will initially be employed on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a full-time position after a specified period.
• Train clients and respond to questions regarding Verisk’s suite of software products.
• Provide support to resolve client software and technical issues.
• Add value to modeled results through customized analyses tailored to client needs.
• Perform sophisticated risk analyses using Verisk’s advanced technology for insurers, brokers, and other financial intermediaries.
• Communicate directly with clients to define project timelines and manage expectations.
• Help clients reliably assess and manage catastrophe loss potential through in-depth interpretation of modeling results.
• Recommend new risk management approaches for both internal teams and clients.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude toward challenging tasks.
• Excellent English communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including a solid understanding of probability concepts.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with working knowledge of SQL and macros.
• Experience with software tools such as ArcGIS and MATLAB.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, C++, and C# is a plus.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Certification or experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
