A Brief

The Operational Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across the organization to support compliance, strengthen internal controls, and promote a sound risk culture. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business units, providing risk-based insights and recommendations that support strategic objectives while ensuring effective risk management practices.

The Operational Senior Risk Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate operational exposures, oversee risk assessments, monitor key risk indicators, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's Operational Risk Management Framework.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct operational risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and document risks associated with business processes, products, services, and initiatives.
  • Perform risk analyses and provide recommendations to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and control gaps.
  • Monitor and report on operational risk exposures, trends, incidents, losses, and emerging risks.
  • Develop, maintain, and track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk metrics to support management decision-making.
  • Assist business units in implementing corrective action plans.
  • Review operational incidents and loss events to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Support the design, enhancement, and implementation of operational risk policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and risk committees.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness and foster a culture of accountability and proactive risk management.
  • Participate in audits, regulatory examinations, and independent reviews by providing risk-related documentation and analysis.
  • Support business continuity, resilience, and third-party risk management initiatives, as applicable by completing the Business Impact Analysis for the Bank.

·Strong written and verbal communication for reports, presentations, in Spanish and English.

Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), banking software, data security protocols, and digital platforms.

What You will Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Internal Controls, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, control evaluations, and root cause analyses.
