Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we’ll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney, with additional campuses in Melbourne and co-working spaces across Australia. But you have choice in where and how you work. We trust our Canvanauts to find the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

At Canva, our Reward team plays a pivotal role in empowering the world to design by building innovative, future-focused total rewards strategies that attract, retain and motivate world-class talent globally.

As a Senior Compensation (Reward) Manager, you’ll be a recognised subject matter expert across Total Rewards. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders and People Partners to shape how we reward impact at scale — blending strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-growing, global environment.

As Canva continues to scale, this role will help evolve our reward philosophy, influence executive decision-making and design programs that position Canva as an industry leader.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Developing and implementing innovative, company-wide Total Rewards strategies that strengthen Canva’s ability to attract and retain top talent globally

• Leading high-impact projects such as job architecture evolution, M&A integrations, or expansion into new markets and talent hubs

• Partnering with senior leaders to provide strategic compensation insights that inform critical business decisions

• Using market data and forward-looking analysis to identify emerging trends and shape future-ready reward strategies

• Preparing executive-level and board-ready content on Total Rewards matters

• Mentoring and uplifting capability within the Reward function

You’re probably a match if:

• You bring extensive experience in Total Rewards within global, high-growth environments

• You have deep expertise across compensation and benefits design, with strong analytical and modelling capability

• You connect reward strategy to business performance with strong commercial acumen

• You’ve led complex, transformational reward initiatives

• You’re confident influencing senior stakeholders and presenting to executive audiences

• You balance rigour with creativity, and can navigate ambiguity with clarity and sound judgment

About the team

The Reward team sits within Canva’s People Supergroup and is responsible for designing and evolving programs that reflect our values while supporting ambitious growth. We combine data, creativity and forward-thinking approaches to build a reward ecosystem that empowers Canvanauts globally. From equity strategy to global compensation frameworks, our work directly fuels Canva’s next chapter of growth.

About Canva

We're a global online visual communications platform on a mission to empower the world to design. Featuring a simple drag-and-drop user interface and a vast range of templates ranging from presentations, documents, websites, social media graphics, posters, apparel to videos, plus a huge library of fonts, stock photography, illustrations, video footage, and audio clips, anyone can take an idea and create something beautiful on Canva on any device, from anywhere in the world.

Since our launch in 2013, we’ve had the crazy big goal of making design accessible to everyone. We were founded on the belief that people shouldn't need to understand complex software to unlock their creativity. We’re leveling the playing field and democratizing access to design and visual communication by empowering 100% of the world to communicate in a way that was once limited to the 1%.

We've always had a deeper mission surrounding Canva — which we talk about as our 'simple' two-step plan: to build one of the world’s most valuable companies, and to do the most good we possibly can. We're committed to our core value of Being a Force for Good, so as the value of our company grows, so too does our ability to have a positive impact on the world.
