Job Category: Sales & Client Executive & Revenue OpsPOSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for deep analysis of current and historical claims data for prospective/current client engagements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform in-depth analysis of claim data to provide strategic insights for prospective/current client health plans. Work closely with sales/retention and marketing teams to support data-driven decisions and client acquisition/retention strategies.
- Review and prepare new business proposals, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing of Allied’s products and services. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Allied product offerings.
- Oversee the strategic placement of stop loss coverage, ensuring optimal risk management and financial protection for both Allied and its prospective/current clients. This involves assessing risk thresholds, determining appropriate coverage levels, and negotiating terms with external underwriters to secure advantageous positions that align with prospects needs and company objectives.
- Negotiate terms of new business prospects / current clients including rates, factors, and contract terms. Manage specific relationships with vendor partners, including stop loss vendors and network providers, to enhance service offerings and operational excellence.
- Provide network analysis for new/renewal business prospects, collaborating with stop-loss partners to share network claims data for appropriate pricing strategies. Partner with the Sales Executive/Client Executive for sales/retention and marketing engagements, fostering strategic external and cross-departmental relationships.
- Continue developing specialized knowledge in group medical stop loss reinsurance and underwriting principles, aiming to continuously improve the strategic approach to client engagements.
EDUCATION
- B.A. degree or equivalent work experience required.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role (data analyst, financial analyst, business analyst, etc.) required.
- Group Health Insurance and/or Stop Loss experience required.
- Microsoft Access experience a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work within a team and a collaborative environment.
- Ability to self-audit.
- Medical Stop Loss Underwriting experience a plus.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics)
