What’s the role?

Take the lead on some of Westpac’s most important retail property transactions and help shape the spaces where our customers and teams connect every day.

As a Senior Retail Lease Manager, you'll be at the centre of the action, negotiating leases, partnering with landlords and solicitors, and guiding complex property deals from instruction through to execution. You'll work closely with Leasing, Projects and Operations teams to keep things moving, solve challenges before they become roadblocks, and deliver great outcomes for the business, within required timeframes & in line with policies and limits of authority.

This is a 12 month opportunity based in Sydney, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

What do I need?

You'll thrive in this role if you bring:

• Strong experience negotiating and managing retail lease transactions across Australia - Retail Lease Administration role with a national retailer, shopping centre or large independent property trust landlord
• A solid understanding of retail legislation and the ability to interpret complex lease documents
• Commercial confidence, with the ability to balance risk, opportunity and business outcomes during negotiations
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including landlords, legal representatives, and internal partners
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, detail-focused approach, managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, quality and deadlines
