Requirements
The Senior Retail and Training Executive is responsible for driving the commercial performance, retail excellence, and capability development of assigned niche and emerging brands across the retail network.
This role serves as the key bridge between Retail Operations and Training, ensuring that retail teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve business targets.
As the brand custodian in the field, the Senior Retail and Training Executive oversees sales performance, retail execution, customer engagement, product knowledge development, and coaching initiatives while partnering closely with Brand, Retail Operations, Training, and outsourced service partners.
The role requires a highly entrepreneurial individual capable of managing niche brands with a hands-on approach and balancing operational excellence with people development.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Performance Management
• Own and drive sales performance of assigned niche brands across all retail locations.
• Monitor weekly and monthly sales trends, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend action plans to improve performance.
• Analyze sell-out, productivity, conversion, average transaction value, and other retail KPIs.
• Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, and Retail Operations teams inexecuting launches, activations, animations, and promotional campaigns.
• Conduct regular business reviews and provide recommendations to maximize sales opportunities.
• Support achievement of CRM objectives, including customer acquisition, database capture, loyalty, and client retention initiatives.
2. Retail Operations Excellence
• Ensure smooth day-to-day retail operations for assigned brands.
• Monitor stock availability and maintain optimal inventory levels in partnership with Supply Chain and Sales Operations teams.
• Identify out-of-stock risks and coordinate replenishment actions promptly.
• Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with operational standards, policies, and brand guidelines.
• Ensure proper execution of visual merchandising standards, tester management, promotional materials, and planograms.
• Support inventory audits, stock reconciliations, and retail compliance activities.
• Partner with agency teams to ensure proper staffing deployment and coverage across stores.
3. Training and Capability Development
• Develop and deliver training programs for Beauty Advisors, Fragrance Advisors, Make-up Artists, and retail personnel assigned to niche brands.
• Conduct onboarding and induction training for new retail team members.
• Facilitate product knowledge, selling skills, customer experience, and brand storytelling programs.
• Execute training calendars and learning initiatives aligned with business priorities and brand requirements.
• Conduct in-store coaching sessions and provide immediate feedback to improve sales and service execution.
• Reinforce grooming standards, service behaviors, and retail excellence expectations.
• Partner closely with the Senior Training Manager in localizing regional training materials and implementing learning strategies.
4. Field Coaching and Performance Improvement
• Spend significant time in stores conducting coaching, observations, and field visits.
• Identify individual and team performance gaps and recommend appropriate development interventions.
• Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, observations, mystery shopping results, and retail performance metrics.
• Support retail personnel in translating learning into improved customer engagement and sales results.
• Serve as a trusted coach and resource person for store teams.
5. Brand Representation and Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary retail and training contact for assigned niche brands.
• Build strong relationships with Brand Principals, Retail Teams, Agency Partners, and Mall Partners.
• Ensure brand standards are consistently executed across all touchpoints.
• Support brand visits, launches, events, and retailer meetings when required.
• Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to management regarding brand performance and development opportunities.
6. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, coaching activities, and development plans.
• Prepare sales, retail performance, and training effectiveness reports.
• Analyze business and training data to identify trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer experience, retail execution, and learning effectiveness.
• Support regional and local retail excellence audits and initiatives.
7. Outsourced Services Management
• Monitor and oversee the performance of outsourced personnel assigned to the brand, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with agreed standards, service levels, and business requirements.
• Regularly review and assess the scope and quality of services provided by the agency to ensure compliance with company expectations and operational standards.
• Coordinate with agency representatives regarding manpower concerns, attendance, performance issues, and service delivery gaps, and recommend appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
• Conduct periodic evaluations of outsourced personnel and provide feedback to the agency to support continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Ensure that outsourced resources are effectively deployed and aligned with retail, training, and brand objectives.
• Escalate service-related issues and risks to the Retail Operations Manager and relevant stakeholders, while working collaboratively with the agency to implement timely resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to outsourced manpower performance, service quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
