🌟 Senior Childcare Practitioner – Children's Residential Home 🌟 šŸ“Ā  Location: Walkden, ManchesterĀ 
šŸ”Ā  Provision: Children’s Residential Home (Ages 7-17, EBD & Mild Learning Difficulties) - This is a New Home for an established Provider.
ā³Ā  Hours: Various on 36hour or 48hour contract
šŸ’°Ā  Salary: £27,144 - Ā£36,192 baseĀ  8-10 sleep-ins/month (Ā£52 per sleep)
šŸ’°Ā  Potential take-home:Ā  Up to Ā£41,184 per annum šŸ”¹ About the Role Are you anĀ  experienced Residential Support WorkerĀ looking to take the next step in your career? Or are you already aĀ  Senior PractitionerĀ seeking a new challenge?
As aĀ  Senior Childcare Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people withĀ  Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD) You will be a role model, mentor, and key worker, ensuring the best possible care and outcomes for the children. This is an exciting opportunity to join aĀ  well-established and growing organisationĀ with a strongĀ  Ofsted ā€œGoodā€Ā track record and a commitment to achievingĀ  OutstandingĀ ratings. āœ… What We’re Looking For āœ” Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent – see below) or enrolled on.
āœ”Ā  Experience working with children in residential careĀ or similar settings
āœ”Ā  Ability to manage challenging behavioursĀ and create a nurturing environment
āœ”Ā  Full UK Driving LicenceĀ (Essential)
āœ”Ā  Fluency in English (with the ability to understand UK dialects) šŸ’”Ā  Alternative Qualifications Considered:
If you hold aĀ  Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care, we will consider your application if you can demonstrate experience working with children and or YPs šŸ“Œ Key Responsibilities šŸ”¹Ā  Support young peopleĀ with emotional and behavioural needs in a residential setting
šŸ”¹Ā  Act as a positive role modelĀ and key worker, helping children develop essential life skills
šŸ”¹Ā  Promote a nurturing and supportive environmentĀ that encourages growth and independence
šŸ”¹Ā  Contribute to care planning, behaviour management, and safeguarding processes
