Salary: FC7- £34,914.86- 43,437.09

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week on a rota basis including evenings and weekends

To deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. The post holder will work with individuals who have experienced significant adversity and may present complex emotional and behavioural needs. The role is focused on promoting safety, stability, and positive outcomes, enabling children to thrive within a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent, high-quality care and support to children and young people in accordance with individual care plans and organizational standards

Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing review of individual care plans, ensuring these reflect the needs, strengths, and aspirations of each young person

Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that is underpinned by trauma-informed and attachment-led practice

Support children and young people in all aspects of daily living, including education, health, routines, life skills, and personal development

Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and high-quality records and documentation in line with regulatory, organizational, and legal requirements

Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals, contributing to multi-agency planning and decision-making processes

Ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are upheld, with a clear focus on the protection and wellbeing of children at all times

Promote and embed the principles of The Promise Scotland, ensuring practice is rights-based, relational, and child-centered

Undertake quality assurance and regulatory responsibilities, including oversight of care planning, medication management, and financial processes where applicable

Participate in and contribute to on-call arrangements, as required by the service

Provide formal supervision and support to staff, where appropriate to role level

Contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the home, including involvement in domestic tasks, to ensure a warm, homely environment

Plan and participate in recreational, social, and developmental activities that promote positive experiences and outcomes for children

Assume delegated management responsibilities in the absence of the House Manager

Undertake additional duties as directed by the House Manager or Senior Leadership Team, appropriate to the post
