About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead on-site construction supervision activities and support the successful delivery of major infrastructure works. This opportunity is part of a project currently at the EOI stage, and we are engaging with qualified professionals in preparation for a potential project award. The Senior Resident Engineer will report to the Team Leader and will be responsible for managing the consultant’s site supervision team and ensuring effective coordination across all construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage on-site construction supervision teams
• Oversee construction activities for roads, tunnels, and infrastructure works
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and FIDIC (or similar) contract conditions
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, quality, and safety
• Review contractor submissions, method statements, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with the Team Leader, Client, and stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers and inspectors
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professionally qualified Civil Engineer
• PE (Professional Engineer) and/or Chartered Engineer (CEng) and/or EUR ING certification (or equivalent registration with recognized professional bodies)
• 15+ years of overall experience
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in similar infrastructure projects (roads, tunnels, bridges)
• Strong experience working under FIDIC or similar contract conditions
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in tunnel construction preferred
• Proven experience managing supervision teams on-site
