Vulcan Energie Ressourcen GmbH is an innovative, fast-growing company in the field of sustainable lithium extraction and renewable energies. With our lithium plant, we are making a decisive contribution to the decarbonization of European industry and to securing a sustainable supply of lithium in Europe.   
 
We are looking for you to join our growing team in Karlsruhe as a full-time (40 hours per week) as -  (Senior) Reservoir Geologist (m/f/d)

Your mission

  • You interpret structural and stratigraphic features from image logs to characterize reservoirs
  • You perform basic petrophysical evaluations to guide subsurface understanding.
  • You perform facies classifications and rock‑typing of key reservoirs based on all subsurface and outcrop datayou correlate well logs to create GDE maps and stress/strain models.
  • You build and maintain structural and petrophysical geomodels, ensuring they provide geologically consistent input for numerical simulations.
  • You support drilling operations through real‑time logging surveillance and timely geological insights
  • You collaborate with reservoir engineers and foster effective cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
  • You safeguard data integrity across well, seismic, and modeling datasets, enabling reliable decision‑making.
  • You support the data-management of subsurface data and Petrel projects with rigor, safeguarding a well‑structured subsurface database

Your profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Geosciences or a closely related field.
  • You bring ideally 10+ years of professional experience in reservoir geology.
  • You are proficient with industry‑standard software, including Petrel and image‑log interpretation tools such as WellCADTechlog, and Interactive Petrophysics.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • You have a proven track record of mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
  • You work with a high level of motivation, ownership, and structured methodology
  • You can translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable insights for diverse stakeholders.
